BoxBoy is an excellent teacher. The side-scrolling puzzle game will show you how to do something new—like, say, how to get your little replicating box person to build himself into a hook and climb over a ledge—and then it will let you figure out how best to use that knowledge. It starts simply, asks little of you and then, soon enough, has taught you moves that would have seemed like wizardry mere minutes before. The last game to do that this well was Portal, and yeah, we know that’s a bold statement.
A Good Match For: People who like brain-tickling games, people who like solving puzzles, fans of boxes.
Not A Good Match For: People who hate boxes, people who need their games to be in color.
